Trojans claim league win
Class 4A No. 5 Center Grove posted a 6-2 victory at Lawrence North on Monday. Owen Guilfoy, Caden Curry and Garrison Barile each had two hits for the Trojans (9-1, 5-0 MIC), while Matthew Sauter drove in a pair of runs. Drue Young earned the win on the mound, striking out 10 in 6 1/3 innings.
Warriors rally past Dragons
Down by four runs after the first inning, Whiteland stormed back for an 11-10 triumph at New Palestine. Jonathan Crowley and Drew Helton collected three hits apiece for the Warriors (4-4), with Joshua Medina and Ethan Shipp contributing two RBIs each.
Girls tennis
Grizzly Cubs top Warriors
Franklin defeated county rival Whiteland, 4-1, on Monday afternoon. Haley Haldeman and Emma Sappenfield picked up a three-set victory at second doubles, while Haylie and Chelsie Rayl were winners in the No. 1 spot. The Grizzly Cubs got singles points from Ailyn Hendricks and Emma Williams in the second and third spots. Whiteland got its lone point from Sarah Scott who got past Rylie Wilkison in three sets.
Lancers nip Southwestern
Edinburgh pulled out a 3-2 home win over Southwestern. Annelise Lollar and Bethany Burton were victorious in the top two singles positions for the Lancers, while the No. 1 doubles team of Alyssa Funkhouser and Peyton Bryant also earned a point.
Braves defeat Mustangs
Indian Creek beat visiting Edgewood, 4-1. Lauren Foster and Zoe Rayback won in straight sets at first and second singles for the Braves, Emilee Scott and Olivia Perry took a three-set win at No. 1 doubles and the tandem of Avery Burris and Addy Tunell was also victorious.

Warriors edge Braves for first win
Will Davis carded a 41 to help Whiteland to its first win of the spring, a narrow 196-200 victory over Indian Creek at The Legends on Monday. Braxton Christie paced the Braves with a 44.
Trojans roll past Falcons
Third-ranked Center Grove coasted to a 161-211 win over Perry Meridian at Dye’s Walk. Drew Rowen led the Trojans with a 37, followed by a 40 from Jack Kristel and 42s from Sam Hord and Luke Beetz.
