Trojans pick up league win

Alexis Rudd pitched a complete game and helped herself with a homer and three RBIs as Center Grove topped Lawrence North, 5-3, on Thursday.

Riley Janda was 2 for 2 with a walk, two steals and two runs scored for the Class 4A No. 6 Trojans (12-2, 3-0 MIC).

Late rally stings Lancers

North Decatur scored five times in the bottom of the seventh to stun Edinburgh, 7-5. Gracie Crawhorn drove in three runs in a losing effort for the Lancers (4-6, 1-4 Mid-Hoosier).

Trojans hammer Wildcats

Center Grove collected 15 hits on the way to a 12-4 victory over Lawrence North. The Class 4A No. 5 Trojans improve to 10-1 overall and a perfect 6-0 in MIC play.

Boys golf

Woodmen edge Braves

Greenwood pulled out a narrow 178-179 victory over Indian Creek in a three-way match win Edinburgh at Tameka Woods on Thursday.

Jackson Watkins was the medalist with a score of 38 for the Woodmen. The Braves were led by Braxton Christie (39) and Clark Haywood (40).

Girls tennis

Trojans defeat Quakers

Center Grove beat Plainfield on Thursday, 4-1, with Ashlee Fisk and Deepthi Shankar picking up points at first and third singles, respectively. The ninth-ranked Trojans took both doubles matches, with Sapna Vyas and Sydney Plowman winning at No. 1 and Hudson Gilstorf and Lauren Dick earning a victory in the second spot.
