Charles W. Craft

GREENWOOD

Charles W. Craft, 77, passed away Tuesday evening, April 20, 2021. He was a resident of Greenwood.

He was born December 23, 1943 in Bowling Green, KY to William L. and Mary Magdeline (Thomas) Craft. He married Dianna Miller on August 1, 1985. She survives. Survivors include his children, Melinda Craft of Greenwood, Tony (June) Craft of Troy, OH, Jamie Craft of Indianapolis, Charlie Craft of Indianapolis, David (Kim) Mears of Greenwood, Brent (Nikki) Mears of Franklin, Jenny (Joe) Daming of Bargersville, and Shara (Joe) Marlin of Indianapolis; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jamie Craft; and a grandson, Carter Mears.

Charlie was a skilled trade carpenter for General Motors for over thirty years, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of Rocklane Christian Church, and a former member of Greenwood Christian Church.

Charlie was an active Mason. He was Past Master of Greenwood Masonic Lodge #514 F. & A.M., Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and the Murat Shrine. As a member of Murat, he was involved in several Clubs including the Corvette Club, Veteran Car Club, and the Police Club.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of the American Legion Post #355 in Indianapolis.

Visitation hours will take place from 2-6PM, Sunday, April 25 at Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street. A Masonic Service will follow at 6PM.

Rev. Shan Rutherford will officiate a funeral service at 11:30 AM, Monday at the funeral home, and will be live streamed on his tribute page at <a href="http://www.stpierrefamilyfuneral.com">www.stpierrefamilyfuneral.com</a>. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood.

Memorial contributions are suggested in his memory to the Carter Balloon Project, 3592 Streamside Drive, Greenwood, IN 46143.
