FRANKLIN
Larry Sichting, 78, of Franklin, IN passed away Monday, May 10, 2021. He was born January 22, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to James Elmer Sichting and Helen G. (Burns) Sichting.
He married Linda Kay (Combs) Sichting, she preceded him in death on November 3, 1997. He later married Ruth Anne (Redifer) Sichting on February 19, 1999 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, she survives.
He was a 1961 graduate of Trafalgar High School.
Larry was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church. In 1967 he became a member of Trafalgar Masonic Lodge #413 and was a 54 year member of the lodge having merged with Nineveh Masonic Lodge #317. He enjoyed road trips with his wife and working the equipment sales tents at the county fairs.
Larry had been a sales representative for Miller Equipment in Greensburg, IN and formerly at McGuire CASE IH in Franklin, IN.
Survivors include his wife Ruth Anne (Redifer) Sichting of Franklin, IN, two sons Tim Sichting (Maria) of Whiteland, IN and Jay Sichting (Emily) of Morgantown, IN, step-children Janie Taggert (Earl) of North Vernon, IN, Chris Dunn of Franklin, IN and Donna Melloh (Andy) of Bargersville, IN, four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, brothers Don Sichting of Trafalgar, IN, Joe Sichting of Franklin, IN, Dan Sichting of Brookston, IN, sisters Sandra Zook (Aubrey) of Martinsville, Myla Magennis (Mike) of Martinsville, IN, sister-in-laws Joan Sichting McDonald of Martinsville, IN, Doris Sichting Fidler of Martinsville, IN and Janet Sichting of Franklin, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Elmer Sichting and Helen G. (Burns) Sichting, his wife Linda Kay (Combs) Sichting, brothers William “Bill” Sichting, John Paul Sichting, Gary Sichting, sister Barbara Foster, brother-in-law Raymond Foster, sister-in-laws Martha “Marty” Sichting and Nancy Sichting.
Pastor Ben Swopes will conduct a service on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed for family and friends can connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/larry-sichting. Friends may call Friday, May 14, 2021 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary where a Masonic service will be conducted by Nineveh Masonic Lodge #317 at 8PM. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
