Whiteland robbery suspects arrested

Whiteland police have arrested a trio of suspects, including an adult and two juveniles, in connection with a gas station robbery earlier this month in Whiteland.

Police on Sunday arrested Coltin Drew Herzog, 18, of Auburn, on a robbery charge, a Level 3 felony. Both juvenile suspects have also been arrested, police said.

Police originally suspected two people were involved with the armed robbery, which took place May 2 at 9 U.S. 31, on the northeast corner of the Whiteland Road intersection.

Both of the original suspects drew guns and demanded money from the clerk. The gas station owner called his boss, who then called 9-1-1, said Tyler Croy, spokesperson for the Whiteland Police Department.

Another suspect was arrested after the investigation revealed there was a getaway driver.

Herzog is being held at the Johnson County jail on $16,000 bond.

No other details were available at press time Tuesday.
