FRANKLIN
Donald Morris Miller, 105, of Franklin, passed away on May 30, 2021. He was born on October 4, 1915 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Charles Walter and Hilda Marguerita (Rader) Miller.
He was a member of the Southport Lodge No. 270, F. & A. M., and Scottish Rite. Don loved music and taking pictures. Over the years, Don has worked at LS Ayers, Wm H. Block, Riddick Piano Company, Wilking Music Company, Sears, and JC Penney. He most recently volunteered in the gift shop at the Masonic Home. As a man of faith, Don was a part of the Missionaires Quartet of Edgewood Methodist for over 30 years. He enjoyed singing in the Center UMC Choir, Scottish Rite Choir and Indiana Masonic Home Choir.
Don is survived by his daughter, Betty Hoffmeyer; son, Donald C. Miller (Ally Williams); grandchildren, Keith (Heather) Hoffmeyer, Kevin (Simone) Hoffmeyer, Heidi (Kim) Chapman and Troy (Sarah) Miller; great grandchildren, Elliot (Sierra) Hoffmeyer, Sarah Hoffmeyer, Annaliese Hoffmeyer, Ashley Cuthbert, Trenton Carrier, and Walker Miller; and great great grandson, Charles Hoffmeyer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hester (Clayton) Miller; brother, Harold A. Miller; and son in law, Lewis Hoffmeyer.
Visitation with Masonic Service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
Don will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Center United Methodist Church, Indiana Masonic Foundation, or Scottish Rite Cathedral.
