Ronald L. Eastburn

GREENWOOD, IN.

Ronald L. Eastburn, 84 and lifelong resident of Clark Township, Greenwood, Indiana. He was born August 27, 1936 to William Joseph Eastburn and Evelyn Cleo (Newhouse) Eastburn. He passed away on Monday May 24, 2021 on the family farm in the same house where he was born.

He was a 1954 graduate of Clark High School and was a member of Rocklane Christian Church in Greenwood, IN.

He was a lifelong farmer in Clark Township alongside his wife Dixie on their family farm in Clark Township. He was a faithful steward of the land. He had also served on the Johnson County Planning and Zoning Board for many years.

He married Dixie Carol (Garrett) Eastburn on November 28, 1957 at Rocklane Christian Church in Greenwood, IN, she preceded him in death on January 17, 2018.

Survivors include his two daughters Apryl McClurg (Jeff) of Indianapolis, IN and Arlene Gieseking (Bob) of Greenwood, IN, grandchildren Kyle McClurg (Greer) of Indianapolis, IN, Wade McClurg (Ashley) of Indianapolis, IN, Riley McClurg (Kristen) of Indianapolis, IN, Garrett Gieseking (Randi) of Greenwood, IN, Grant Gieseking of Greenwood, IN and Gretchen Gieseking of Greenwood, IN, great grandchildren Oliver McClurg, Adriane, Aubrey, Ashton, Aaron Gieseking and Adelynn McClurg, his brother Steve Eastburn (Deb) of Greenwood, IN, sister Marilyn Richey of Carmel, IN, beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

The family will receive friends for a time of gathering and sharing on Sunday June 6, 2021 from 2PM until 6PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. Inurnment for Ron and Dixie will be at Rocklane Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
