MORGANTOWN, IN.
Nancy J. (Johnston) Ashley, 73, of Morgantown, IN passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 29, 1947 in Moline, Illinois to Robert Keith Johnston and Mary Alice (Stretch) Johnston. She married Thomas W. “Tom” Ashley on December 12, 1965 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Reseda, California, he preceded her in death on May 8, 2019.
She was a graduate of Reseda High School in Reseda, California.
She had been employed by Best Buy/Music Land in Franklin, IN in the quality control department. She previously had served as a jail matron at the Johnson County Sherriff’s Department in Franklin, IN.
Nancy was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Trafalgar, IN and Union Village Order of the Eastern Star #583 in Providence, IN. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog Buster.
Survivors include her children Tracy L. Hilton (Larry) of Bargersville, IN, Thomas Wayne Ashley Jr. (Ladeana) of Bargersville, IN and Tammara A. Zieleniuk (James) of Columbus, IN, ten grandchildren Seth Hilton and Kaitlyn both of Bargersville, IN, Jacob Ashley of Tampa, FL, Zachary Ashley (Amber) of Martinsville, IN, Madison Ashley of Bargersville, IN, Justin Everhart of Melbourne, FL, Ryan Everhart (Britney) of Camby, IN, Michael Zieleniuk of Columbus, IN, Natasha Roth (Sean) of Indianapolis, IN and Tabath Zieleniuk of Indianapolis, IN, five great- grandchildren Briella Ashley, Lydia Zieleniuk, Jasxon Donnelly, Granger Ashley and Harrison Everhart, her brother Robert K. Johnston (Lizzy) of Galt, CA, sisters Barbara Ann Johnston of Indianapolis, IN and Kimberly Alice Fox (Joe) of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Pastor Ron Sodrel will conduct a service on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed for family and friends to connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/nancy-ashley.
