Oliver makes Trials debut
Cade Oliver competed in his first race at the USA Swimming Olympic Trials on Monday in Omaha, Nebraska, placing 60th in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 56.96 seconds. Oliver, one of just nine swimmers age 18 or younger in the event, will be back in action Thursday in the 200 backstroke and 200 individual medley.

Shepherd helps US win Palmer Cup
Center Grove graduate Erica Shepherd won three of her four matches to help the United States to a 33-27 victory over the International team at the Arnold Palmer Cup, which concluded Sunday in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
Shepherd and partner Sam Bennett lost their opening four-ball match, but Shepherd bounced back with two tandem wins, one with Bennett and another with Duke teammate Gina Kim. She then added a singles victory on Sunday.
