Lisa K. (Nolting) Arndt, age 95 passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, June 13, 2021 at the Homeview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. She was a resident of Brown County.

Lisa was born on December 16, 1925 in Fargemiel, Germany, to her parents, the late Hermanne and Emma (Stack) Nolting. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lisa was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Bean Blossom since 1967. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, tending to her flower & vegetable gardens and was a fan of the shows, Judge Judy and Criminal Minds. Lisa will be remembered for her love of family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who always wanted to stay at grandma’s house. She will also be remembered for her excellent cooking and delicious sweets, like her strawberry torts & potato cakes.

Lisa was preceded in death on August 9, 2011 by her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Arndt, whom she married on November 12, 1949 in Grube, Germany. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gerhard H. Arndt; daughter-in-law, Sheila Arndt; and siblings, Gera Mueller, Heinreich Nolting, Annemarie Garzareck and Elizabeth Nolting.

Lisa is survived by her children, Marianne (husband, David) Hedrick and Klaus J. (wife, Judy) Arndt, both of Bargersville; sister, Ellie Buch of Germany; grandchildren, Adrienne, Courtney, Brittany & Matthew Hedrick, Kimberly Piccone, Missy Myers, Tina Youngblood, Tiffany, Timothy, Terry, Toby & Jeff Arndt; 21 great grandchildren.

Lisa’s family would like to thank the staff of Homeview Health & Rehabilitation and Paradigm Hospice for making such a difficult time a little easier through their kindness and compassion. Our family will keep your wonderful staff in our hearts and always in our prayers.

The Rev. Phil Meadows will conduct a funeral service on Friday at 11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 5802 N. State Road 135 in Brown County. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
