GREENWOOD
Lillian Christine White, 75, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 18, 2021. She was born on June 29, 1945 in Beech Grove, IN to Benjamin and Fern Meyer Miner.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her family was the love of her life. Lillian was a strong lady who successfully battled cancer three separate times in her life. She married Joseph Michael White on July 20, 1963. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Beverly Miner Thompson.
Lillian graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1963. She worked at Eli Lilly and Company for five years and then began her in-home daycare service after the birth of her second child. She cared for children for 21+ years until cancer no longer allowed her. She later ran her own successful cleaning business until her health forced her to retire.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Christine White Watson, her son Joseph Michael “Tiger” White (Rebecca) of Greenwood; sisters, Karen West of Greenwood and Kim Tucher of Indianapolis; brothers, Benjamin Miner of Saxonburg, PA, Byron Miner of Indianapolis, and Beryl Miner of Greenwood. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley White, Zachary White, Kiersten White, Greyson White, Madison Watson, MacKenzie Watson and Michelle Watson.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch,1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN, with the service at 1:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Johnson County Animal Shelter.
