John Camden

INDIANAPOLIS

John Camden, 82, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 25, 2021 surrounded by family.

John is survived by his wife, Sarah (Gouge) Camden, they were married for over 55 years. Other survivors include their two children, Leigh (Danna) Everett and Joseph (Betty) Camden; grandchildren: Ciera (Gary) Smith, Collin and Caden Camden, and Danielle Everett; Bonus grandchildren: Tiffani, Tyler and Kara Powell, Bryant and Kristian “KJ” Smith, and great-grandchildren: Aaliyah Yoder, Jeremiah Brown and Ella Powell.

John came from a family of twelve children with his only surviving sibling being his brother Jerry (Sarah) Camden.

John served in the United States Army and was later a machinist for General Motor for over 40 years. Some of his favorite hobbies include making stagecoaches, gardening, and woodworking.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 4-8 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory–Franklin Township Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46237. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Indiana Creek Christian Church, 6430 S. Franklin Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46259. Burial to follow at Orchard Hill in Wannamaker, IN.
