Sharon R. Ruckersfeldt, 83, passed away Friday evening, June 11, 2021. She was a long-time resident of Indianapolis.
Sharon was born November 15, 1937 in Washington, IN to Ruth E. (Ricks) McGuire and Roy W. McGuire.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Kenneth R. Ruckersfeldt and their five children: Stacey (John) Barrington, Seguin, TX; Kevin (Michelle) Ruckersfeldt, Overland Park, KS; Kurt (Kimberlee) Ruckersfeldt, Broad Brook, CT; Eric (Stephanie) Ruckersfeldt, Indianapolis; and Leann (Rob) Brookshire, Austin, TX; brother James (Kim) McGuire, Greenwood, IN; 4 nieces, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood for 37 + years (Chapter BC Dallas and BP Indpls).
Mom filled us with love, curiosity, whimsy, creativity and so much more. She was loved by many and her smile, humor, and kindness flowed through her gifts, food, and care. Our lives will not be the same without her, but we know she lives on within us and is watching over us.
A memorial gathering will take place from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Sahara Grotto, 7620 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis.
