Robert D. LaTour

FRANKLIN, IN.

Robert D. LaTour, 79, of Franklin, IN passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Hickory Creek in Franklin, IN. He was a former resident of New Jersey.

He was born November 22, 1941 in Teaneck, New Jersey. His parents were Louis B. and Florence (Taylor) LaTour. He married Nancy (Fergason) LaTour on November 22, 1975. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2021.

He graduated from Hackensack High School in Hackensack, New Jersey. He also graduated from the New York Traffic Academy in New York City.

He worked at NSK Corporation at various locations ending in Franklin, IN. He worked a total of 37 years retiring in February of 1998. He had also worked as a kitchen assistant at Hilliew Country Club. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and raising money for various organizations.

He belonged to the S.A.L. Squadron #205 in Franklin, IN. He had been the Commander of the S.A.L. for three years. He also belonged to the Franklin Elks #1818 and the Johnson County Eagles in Whiteland, IN.

Survivors include his brother Tim LaTour, and two sisters Sharon Discorfano and Deborah Petrocelli, various aunts, uncles, and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Friends may call on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South Morton Street, Franklin, IN.
