65, the train blew its last whistle for Jim on July 26, 2021. He was born September 14, 1955 to the late Frank W. and Elizabeth Powers. Jim married Diane L. McBride, and was a conductor for CSX Railroad for many years.
Visitation will be Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St., with visitation one hour prior.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Diane Powers; brothers, Bill Powers and Jack (Vivina) Powers; sisters, Elaine (Jim) Powers and Kathleen Powers; nieces, Charis Williams and Jessicah Powers; nephews, Chris Powers and Gary Cummins; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
