HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.
Sybil Rae (Whitaker) Adrian, 66, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina passed away at her home on May 29, 2021, after a short illness. Born July 31, 1954, in Whiteland, Indiana, she was the youngest daughter of Harold Denzil and Cloris Maxine (Devore) Whitaker.
On June 20, 1981, Sybil married Michael Adrian, they were married for 40 years. They enjoyed their lives and made their homes in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee before retiring to Hilton Head Island. Sybil enjoyed her free time reading, traveling and playing with her dog Buddy at the beach. She enjoyed her annual visits to Indiana in July for her family reunions. She especially loved spending time with her sisters and visiting some local wineries and having lunch at Shapiro’s when she was in town.
Sybil is survived by her loving husband, Michael; son, Chris (Gloria) Windhorst; daughter Sara (Windhorst) Parker; step children Stefanie (Adrian) Mullen and Matthew Adrian; grandchildren, Damien, Miah, Cicily, Amalia and Azalia Windhorst, Terry and Elizabeth Dodrill, John Parker, Keenan and Noah Assaraf, Colton Mullen; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Cameron, Jaxson and Bronson; sisters, Sharon Parkhurst, Donna Plummer; brother, Dale (Lynn) Whitaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Andrea Lammert and Karen Hiatt; brothers, Gene and Lynn Whitaker.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on her birthday, Saturday July 31, 2021 at German American Klub, 8602 South Meridian St. Indianapolis, Indiana with a toast in her honor at 3 p.m.
