Rich Ratliff

CEDAREDGE, COLO.

Rich Ratliff was born on July 11, 1944 in Johnson County, Indiana.

He spent the last fifteen years in Cedaredge, Colorado, where he and his wife had some of the best years of his life.

Rich is survived by loving wife, Diane Ratliff, and sons Josh Burrell (Jill), and Mike Ratliff (Lea). Rich adored his absolutely favorite person, his granddaughter, Henley Burrell.

Rich grew up in Indiana where he made farming a lifelong passion and career. Rich attended Purdue University, receiving a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education, and went on to work as an Industrial Sciences teacher at Center Grove Highschool, in Greenwood, Indiana, for more than three decades.

In recent years, he spent his days helping others, fixing anything that looked like it could be broken, and building large towers to be knocked down by his granddaughter. He loved to grill, consistently sitting in a chair as the grill did it’s work to make sure nothing went wrong.

His quick wit constantly got him in trouble, more so with himself than anyone else. Rich believed in working hard, serving others, and honoring God in all things. Rich will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
