GREENWOOD
Ann Elizabeth Miner, 76, of Greenwood, passed away on August 11, 2021. She was born on December 3, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Oliver and Norma (Ernsting) Gates.
Ann graduated from Southport High School. She then went on to graduate with a Masters degree in Education with Magna Cum Laude honors from Indiana University.
Ann taught school for over 25 years in the Brownsburg School System, where she also coached cheerleading.
Retiring early, Ann became a loving caregiver to several of her family members.
She was married to her husband, Donald Miner, for 35 years.
Ann enjoyed boating, playing cards, swimming, golf, and traveling. She was an accomplished violinist, who enjoyed playing with neighbors and Lamb Lake friends.
Ann is survived by her sister, Ginny Featherston; brother, John (Nancy) Gates; six nieces; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Miner; and brother, Frank (Joan) Gates.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 16 from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Greenwood, IN, with a Celebration of Life at 2:30 PM.
Ann will be laid to rest in The Gardens at Olive Branch, Greenwood,IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Johnson County.
