GREENWOOD, INDIANA
Eugene McKinney, 81, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
Eugene was born on June 17, 1940 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to the late William Rollie and Ruby (Souder) McKinney.
Eugene worked as a truck driver for CF Trucking for twelve years until his retirement in 1998. He was a devoted member of Teamsters Local Union No. 135 and had a passion for vintage cars and going to car shows. Eugene enjoyed the country life and always looked forward to spending time at the family’s Kentucky cabin.
Eugene is survived by his two sons, Eugene (Jenny) McKinney Jr. and Christopher McKinney, both of Greenwood, IN; his seven grandchildren, Bruce, Madison, Emma, Jeremy, Jessie, Elijah, and Abby McKinney; his brother, Jerry McKinney of Indianapolis, IN.
Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Monday) McKinney; his son, Dale A. McKinney; his granddaughter, Ashley McKinney; his parents, William and Ruby McKinney.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 3:00pm at Jessen Funeral Home ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 1:00pm until the funeral hour.
