MARTINSVILLE
Jerry Jones, 63, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 26th, 2021. He was born to Joseph and Leona Jones on January 2nd 1958. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and his daughters Amanda Davis (spouse Justin, Wolfe City, TX), Nicole McAleer (spouse Bob, Indianapolis, IN), stepchildren Mark Riley, Nicole Nguyen (spouse Lamson, Indianapolis, IN), and two grandsons Trenton and Levi.
Other surviving family members are two brothers Ron Jones (Indianapolis, IN), Larry Jones (Roachdale, IN) and his sister Martha Burdine (spouse Cliff, Indianapolis, IN).
After graduating from Perry Meridian High School, Jerry went on to work for Allison Transmission and retired after 45 years in 2021.
Jerry’s love and passion for classic cars, racing, and car shows were known to everyone who knew him. His favorite car he owned and loved to take to car shows where he won many awards was his ’55 Chevy Bel Air. Jerry will always be remembered as an amazing and caring husband, father, Pap Pap, and friend.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
