Erica Esther Fiorenza

GREENWOOD

Erica Esther Fiorenza, 86, of Greenwood, IN went to be with the Lord Monday morning August 30, 2021 at Bickford of Greenwood. She was born Jan. 27, 1935 to Alejandro and Catalina Muller.

Erica was born in the “pampas” or grasslands of Argentina and spent her young life helping her parents on the farm. She met a young Nazarene tent evangelist Edward Fiorenza and married May 8, 1954. They then moved to Buenos Aires Argentina and started a family. In 1961, they moved with 4 young boys all under the age of 5, to pastor a Spanish speaking church in San Antonio, Texas. Erica was a supportive pastor’s wife, homemaker and mother as they moved several times throughout America ministering to several Spanish speaking Nazarene churches.

In 1970, Ed and Erica moved the four boys and now one girl to Bogota, Columbia as missionaries as part of OMS International Missionary Society. After 3 years in Columbia, they returned to the United States and settled in Greenwood, IN, the location of OMS’s headquarters. She attended church at Southland Community Church.

Erica loved taking care of her family. She most treasured and enjoyed spending time with her 11 grandchildren. She loved cooking and having large family gatherings. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time doing yard work with her faithful furry companion “Buster” always by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Edward. She is survived by sons Ruben (Vicky) Fiorenza of Greenwood, IN, Bob (Gayle) Fiorenza of Cincinnati, OH, Paul (Laura) Fiorenza of Loveland, OH, George (Kathi) Fiorenza of Ringgold, GA and daughter Irene (Scott) Roge of Greenwood, IN, and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services for Erica are Wednesday September 8, 2021 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral & Cremation Services, Greenwood Chapel at 481 West Main St. Greenwood, IN 46142, with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Erica’s honor to One Mission Society, 941 Fry Rd. Greenwood, IN 46142.
