A car show and pork chop dinner fundraiser is set to help three Indian Creek teens injured in a car crash Aug. 3 on their way to the Indiana State Fair.

Kya Lasley and Megan Murray, both 17, and Keilyn Stauffer, 10, were severely injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 65 near Raymond Street. At least one teen is still in the hospital recovering from her injuries, a family member said.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be divided three ways to help the families with medical expenses.

Cars for a Cause is set for 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 11, at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. Cars, trucks, jeeps and motorcycles may be entered.

Current 4-H or FFA members can enter cars for $10 pre-registration or $15 day of. The general public can enter for $20 pre-registration or $25 day of. To register, call 317-474-0706.

A drive-thru pork chop dinner and Farm Bureau Milkshakes will be available for purchase starting at 4 p.m. until they are sold out. For the drive-thru, enter on Jefferson Street and follow the signs to the pick up location near the cattle barn.

The event is hosted by Indian Creek FFA, Johnson County Farm Bureau, Johnson County Beef Cattle Association and Indian Creek Football Parents.
