GREENWOOD, IN.
Joan (Kuhn) Mills 95 of Greenwood, IN passed away Thursday August 26, 2021 at Greenwood Meadows. She was born October 21, 1925 in Indianapolis, IN to Mahlon Albert Kuhn and Frances Elizabeth (Prinz) Kuhn. She married Frederick Joseph Mills, he preceded her in death on September 12, 1989.
She was a 1943 graduate of Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis, IN. She had been an administrative assistant at Eli Lilly and Company and Butler University.
Having lived in her earlier years in the Fountain Square area of Indianapolis, IN, she had been active in the Southside Turners and the German-American Klub. She loved classical music and operas, polka music, jitter bug and traveling.
Survivors include her children Rhonda Mills Owens (Ed) of Indianapolis, IN, Gary Mills (Ann) of Waynesville, NC and Diane Mills Richey (Roger) of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren Lindsey Simon, Nicole Weaver Lyng (Bill), great grandchildren Aiden Emerson and Madison Lyng.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Martha Jullman, Alberta Preston and Louise Brown.
Services will be private.
