The intersection of Fairview and Peterman roads will close for about two months starting Monday.
Crews will work to turn the existing four-way stop into a roundabout, according to a Johnson County Highway Department news release.
The roads will be closed to all traffic at the intersection. Through traffic may utilize a signed detour route that includes County Line Road, Morgantown Road, Smith Valley Road and State Road 135, according to the news release.
Though not on the official detour route, the current closure on Morgantown Road, between Smith Valley Road and Fairview Road, will end prior to the start of this project, the news release said.
The intersection is set to reopen Nov. 20, weather permitting.
