Jack Marshall Thomas, 85 of Greenwood, IN, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
He was born on September 28, 1935 in Glasgow, KY to the late James Corbett Thomas and Frances Corrine Thomas.
Jack was an active member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple for the past 56 years. He was employed at Rand McNally for 41 years where he met his wife and the love of his life Molly. Jack continued to work for many years during retirement and really enjoyed his role working remotely for the Southbend Medical Lab.
Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Molly Thomas, children, Karen (Lynn) Jackson, Kelly D. (Jerry) Adkins, Douglas A. Thomas and Michael S. Thomas. Grandchildren, Sean M. Jackson, Audrey N. Jackson, Ashley D. Galle, Jared M. Adkins and Josiah B. Adkins. Great grandchildren, Melina Jackson, Xavier Jackson, Arianna Jackson, Levi Galle, Micaiah Galle, Magdalene Galle, and Nathan Galle along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents, James and Frances Corrine Thomas, siblings, Tommie Evelyn Thomas Harrison, John Geraldine Thomas, Joseph Kenneth Thomas, James Calvin Thomas, William Lester Thomas and daughter Jackie Lynn Thomas.
You will be missed by your loving wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and all of your friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the service time at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Indianapolis Baptist Temple, 4002 E. Southport Road, Indianapolis 46237. Jack will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
