Nightly lane closures are expected to start Monday on Interstate 65 in Johnson and Shelby counties.
Indiana Department of Transportation contractor MAC Construction plans to begin implementing nightly lane closures on I-65, between Exit 80 (State Road 252) and Exit 90 (State Road 44), according to an Indiana Department of Transportation news release.
Nightly lane closures will be in place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. Crews will complete pavement patching and rehabilitation under the closures. Work will begin in the southbound lanes of I-65, then move to the northbound lanes. Work is expected to be completed by mid-November, according to the news release.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change, INDOT says.
