Local officers arrest two wanted for armed robbery in Goshen

Officers on Wednesday arrested two people wanted for an armed robbery in Goshen, resulting in a heavy police presence near a White River Township intersection.

Adonis Daevon Blake, 22, of Ingalls, was arrested on charges of armed robbery, intimidation and a probation violation.

Morgan Carlee Carlson, 21, of Greenfield, was arrested on charges of armed robbery, intimidation and theft.

Johnson County Sheriff’s Office investigators were assisting in the search for Blake and Carlson. During the course of the investigation, officers learned that they were staying at a house in the 700 block of Morgantown Road in Greenwood, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

While investigators watched the house, Carlson exited the home and walked to a nearby gas station on Smith Valley Road, where she was arrested without incident, the news release said.

A few minutes later, the home owner exited the house. He confirmed Blake was still inside, as well as three handguns and a baby, according to the news release.

SWAT arrived and set up a perimeter around the house. A negotiator attempted to call and speak with Blake, but he refused and disconnected the call. A few minutes later, he exited the rear of the house and was arrested without incident, the news release said.

Both were taken to the Johnson County jail. They will be transferred to the Elkhart County jail. Blake is held without bond. Carlson is held on $100,000 bond.

Detectives from the Greenwood Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service also assisted.
