M. Christine “Chris” Darlage, 76, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN.
Chris was born on December 3, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Ephriam Douglas “Doug” Lowe, Jr. and Margaret E. (Short) Lowe. Chris was a 1962 graduate of Southport High School. She attended Indiana University and was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. While at IU, she met and married her husband, the late Dwight Q. Darlage on September 4, 1966 in Indianapolis, IN. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2011.
Chris enjoyed reading on her porch at Lamb Lake, playing card games, puzzles, and was an avid IU and Colts fan. She was a former member of the Community Church of Greenwood and Trafalgar Christian Church.
Chris is survived by her daughter, Anne Nolting of Indianapolis, IN, son Nathan Darlage of Indianapolis, IN grandchildren Madelyn, Kathryn, and Laura Nolting and chosen family Melissa, Megan, and Logan Stephens.
Pastor Sarah Haas will conduct a service on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 2PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/m.christine-darlage. Friends may call Saturday October 16, 2021 from 12PM Noon until service time at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
