Olan Branstutter

Olan Branstutter, 75 of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Indianapolis.

He was born on July 3, 1946 in Pineville, Kentucky to Benton and Ivalee (Marcum) Branstutter. He married Ida Mae (Gilbert) Branstutter on May 21, 1970. She preceded him in passing in 2013. Olan is survived by children, Ed Branstutter (Angie) and Barb Holley (Stan); grandchildren, Drew, Sara, Everly, Meagan (Austin) and Aaron; siblings, Wilburn Branstutter (Janet), Willa Mae Bowling and Charlotte Bowling; sister-in-laws, Gwen Gilbert and Mary Branstutter; great nieces, Ashlee, Katelyn; great nephew, Travis; great-great nieces, Ava, Riley “Lucy”; special buddies, Aeries and Kyler and his beloved dogs, Jack and Sadie. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Benton and Ivalee; wife, Ida Mae; sisters, Sudie Grubb and Bonnie Hicks and brother, Archie Branstutter.

Olan was a factory associate with Norplex and Caterpillar, retiring in 2012.

He was an University of Kentucky fan, an Indianapolis Colts fan and a Dale Earnhart, Sr. and Jr. race fan. He loved to tinker on various projects.

Derek Mobley will conduct a Celebration of Olan’s life service on Friday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation on Friday, October 8 from 2:00 p.m. to time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
