FRANKLIN
Penny (Jones) Wells, 79, passed away October 11, 2021. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was born on May 16, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Leslie Jones and Marie (Lease) Jones. She married William “Bill” Wells on September 24, 1960. Bill and Penny celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this September. He lovingly survives. Other survivors include her children, Sandra Richards (Andy), William Wells (Kanela), Russell Wells, Keri Enders, and Elizabeth Little; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings Dennis Jones and Lori Baird (Tim); and sister-in-law Maggie Jones.
Penny was preceded in passing by her parents, Leslie and Marie Jones; and brothers, Terry Jones and Norbert Jones.
Penny graduated from Corona High School in California.
She was a homemaker. Penny cherished her children and was the glue that held her family together. She was a compassionate woman who loved her family and friends dearly.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S.31) Franklin, Indiana 46131. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00p.m. until the time of service at 2:00p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at First Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin.
