Sheri Spicer Gilcrest, 72, of Bargersville passed away October 8, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was born on March 18, 1949 in Franklin, Indiana to Lydle and Barbara (Kerlin) Barnett. She married Frank Gilcrest on December 30, 2011. He lovingly survives. Other survivors include her children, Shelley Riddle (Mike), Cory Nuetzmann (DJ), Michael Spicer (Heather), Amy Falk (Alex), Nick Gilcrest, Emily Lermann (Chris), and Tad Gilcrest; grandchildren, Ashley Jones (Draya), Heather Jones, Andrew Nuetzmann (Morgan), Quincy Nuetzmann, Noah Nuetzmann, Sawyer Nuetzmann, Dominik Spicer, Nevaeh Spicer, Jacob Riddle, Mahalie Riddle, Nolie Gilcrest, Kilea Lermann, Taegan Lermann, and Covee Lermann; great-grandchildren, Railey, Aubrey, Wyatt, Jaxon, and Gunner; and a brother, Steve Barnett (Teresa). Sheri was preceded in passing by her parents, Lydle and Barbara Barnett.
Sheri attended Union High School until it consolidated with Franklin schools. She was a 1967 graduate of Franklin Community High School.
Sheri worked as the manager of the cafeteria at Union Elementary for 35 years. She had a passion for her “Union kids”.
Sheri loved her family, spending time with her grandkids and friends. She enjoyed going on vacation. Sheri was a kind and caring soul who loved many and was loved by all.
Visitation for Sheri will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 2:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin.
