MOORESVILLE, IN.
Debbie L. Fellers, 64, of Mooresville passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Waters of Martinsville, IN.
She was born on April 21, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN to James and Juanita (Gribben) Covert.
Debbie was a 1975 graduate of Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis.
Debbie was a loving Christian mother, wife, and friend to so many.
She was a member of Mt Auburn United Methodist in Stones Crossing, Greenwood, IN where she was active in Bible study and Vacation Bible School. She was a former member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene and First Baptist Church in Mooresville.
Debbie was a meticulous and detailed house cleaner and car washer, traits that she picked up from her father. Debbie had a love for cooking and kept her family fed with home cooked meals most days.
Debbie’s whole world was wrapped around her grandchildren. She would watch them at anytime we asked and just loved to be with them. She loved the many sleepovers at her house with the grandkids, she loved to spoil them.
She was an avid tennis player extraordinaire and competed and won the National Tennis Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada. She lived and breathed tennis and played tennis through all her cancer treatments.
She coached her kids little league teams, she was a 4H leader, and a homeschool teacher for her children.
She was constantly taking meals and making visits to elderly shut ins from her church.
Debbie enjoyed being able to stay home full time to watch her children.
She homeschooled Kevin, Caleb, and Casey for most of their schooling.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Cory (wife: Lindsay) Fellers of Mooresville, Kevin (wife: Shelly) Fellers of Greenwood, Caleb (wife: Jordan) Fellers of Fairland, and Casey Fellers of Mooresville; grandchildren, Elijah, Leila, and Rylee; her parents, James and Juanita (Gribben) Covert of Indianapolis, IN, sister Diane Helmick of Indianapolis, IN and brother Tim Covert (wife: Debbie) of Georgia, mother in law Marilyn Fellers of New Castle.
Debbie was preceded in death by her Husband Terry Fellers on September 30, 2020, Father-in-law Marland Fellers, a brother Danny Covert, brother in-law Ron Helmick
Pastor Ben Greenbaum will conduct a service on Friday October 22, 2021 at 10AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/debbie-fellers. Friends may call Thursday October 21, 2021 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
