SHARPS CHAPEL, TENN., FORMERLY OF GREENWOOD

Carolinda H. (Cain) Mains 75 of Sharps Chapel, TN formerly of Greenwood, IN passed away Monday October 18, 2021. She was born November 9, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN to Helen (Treewits) and James Cain in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis in 1964 and attended the Herron School of Art at IUPUI, and earned an associate’s degree in human services from Ivy Tech Community College.

She enjoyed boating on Lake Norris, sewing, crafting, gardening and shopping. She also loved going out to lunch, going to the winery, drinking Kaluha coffee with 6 sugars and heavy whipping cream on the deck in the morning. She loved her digital picture frame, downloading the newest pictures of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her infectious smile and fierce love for her family. She loved all celebrations, especially the holidays and spending them with family. She loved life itself.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Mains whom she married April 11, 2016 of Sharps Chapel TN, a sister Vicki Johnson of Franklin, IN. Also surviving are her three children Lori Andrews (Wayne) of Greenwood, IN, Jill Barton (Scott) of Greenwood, IN and Patrick Berlier of Indianapolis, IN. She is survived by 6 grandchildren-Jonathon Andrews (Kayla), Matthew Andrews (Paige), Andrew Barton (Ebony), Alyssa Edwards (Brett), Sydney Barton (Levi) and Kaylee Rose Berlier. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren-Maya, Hayden, Jackson, Sebastian, Xavier, Beckham, Vada and Andrew James (AJ), several nieces, nephews, cousins and former spouse Carl Robert Berlier of 25 years with their three children.

A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at 6PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/carolinda-mains. The family will received friends from 3PM on Tuesday October 26, 2021 until service time at the mortuary.
