Kelly Ann Burton

Kelly Ann Burton, age 57, of Greenwood, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her husband and sons. Kelly was born in Franklin, IN on January 13, 1964 to the late Thomas and Shelby (Wethington) Smith. She married the love of her life, Pete Burton, on February 14, 1987.
Kelly attended Southland Community Church and accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized on May 5, 2019. Kelly loved God and her family deeply. Kelly’s favorite duty was being a mamaw to all her grandbabies. She was a loving person with a big heart and was a selfless giver. Kelly was a kind and gentle soul who never met a stranger. Kelly enjoyed spending time with her family, loved playing casino games, loved playing bingo with friends, loved shopping for everyone she knew, and always found the weirdest, yet delicious, snacks to try.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Reid Smith and Shelby Jean (Wethington) Smith, and her brother, Kenny Dale Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Burton of Greenwood; sons, Travis (Marlene) Burton of Indianapolis, Wesley Burton of Greenwood, and Gabriel (Mandy) Burton of Greenwood; daughter, Velia Burton of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Colton Tiller, Cory Tiller, Emma Burton, Zakk Burton, Gunner Burton, Caidin Tiller, Aubrey Burton, and Temperance Burton; brothers, Darrin Smith and Kyle Smith.
Family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Monday, November 8, 2021 at Jessen &Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel, 729 N U.S. HWY 31, Whiteland, IN 46184 with a funeral service to follow with Pastor Kerry Huffman officiating.
