Terry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially through the beautiful Appalachian and Rocky Mountain ranges. He also enjoyed playing golf and fighting the little white monster across the green prairies of taxing undulations and various turfs.

He was quick witted with his humor and loved to tease those he loved dearly. Terry would give his last two cents if he knew it would help you in a time of need. He was always willing to travel any distance to help a friend fix a vehicle, build a garage, make home repairs or just be at your side for support.

Terry graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminology in 1976.

Terry worked for the Vigo County Sherriff’s Department from 1971 – 1979.

Terry began his federal law enforcement tenure at the state penitentiary in 1979 and retired as a criminal investigator for the U.S. Treasury Department in 2006.

He then decided to finish his state retirement and served as Hendricks County Deputy until 2014.

Terry won multiple achievement awards for his cases and shooting skills during his law enforcement career.

To honor Terry’s memory and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital online or you may bring the donation with you and place in the designated drop box.
