Grizzly Cubs sink Pirates

Franklin knocked down a dozen 3-pointers during an 82-30 home rout of Greensburg on Friday evening. Kyndell Jochim had 17 points for the Class 4A No. 5 Grizzly Cubs (5-0), while Ashlyn Traylor added 16 and Kuryn Brunson 12.

Lancers beaten by Golden Bears

Edinburgh came up short at Shelbyville, 57-48. Ceira Myers led the Lancers (2-2) with 17 points, followed by Gracie Crawhorn (10), Alyssa Funkhouser (nine) and Kyah Streeval (eight).

Warriors fall to Flashes

A late Franklin Central surge doomed Whiteland to a 51-47 road loss against Franklin Central on Thursday night. Braylyn Clendenen finished with 18 points to lead the Warriors (1-2).

Women’s basketball opens with victory

Bayleigh Torrance scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures as Franklin College began its season with a 91-76 home win over Olivet on Friday. Chelbie Anderson added 17 points and CiCi Bailey totaled 14 points and 14 rebounds off the bench for the Grizzlies.
