GREENWOOD
Arvie McClish, 70, of Greenwood, passed away on November 11, 2021.He was born on January 17, 1951 in Henry County, INto George and Dorothy (Bryant) McClish.
Arvie began his career in law enforcement as an officer in Greenwood, Indiana. He held multiple positions in law enforcement; ending his career at the Plainfield Correctional Facility as a Sergeant Corrections Officer. He enjoyed long rides on the open road on his motorcycle with his wife Marsha and dog Ava. He also spent time doing leather crafts and embossing. He was an avid collector of Indian art. He loved going to old car shows with his grandsons and spending time with his grandchildren.
Arvie is survived by his wife, Marsha (Young) McClish; his mother, Dorothy (Bryant) McClish; children, Jason McClish, Eric (Abby) McClish and Sara (Mark) Hogan; grandchildren, Ayden, Mateo, and Emma Jo; brother, William “Bill” (Sharon) McClish; and beloved dog, Rosie.
He was preceded in death by his father, George McClish; aunt, Beth (Bryant) McLeod; and uncle, Paul Bryant.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN.
Arvie will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, IN.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
