Ciara Dawn Duke 33 of Franklin, IN passed away Sunday November 14, 2021 at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
She was born January 19, 1988 in Franklin, IN to Barry Charles Sharp and Patricia Ann (Brummett) Sharp.
She was a 2006 graduate of Franklin Community High School.
Ciara had been a fragrance model at Macy’s at the Greenwood Park Mall.
She was a member of the Community Church of Greenwood and was a follower of Jesus, a loving mother and Chordoma warrior. Ciara’s love for the Lord gave her the strength and courage to fight such a lengthy and courageous battle with Chordoma. She was an inspiration to many.
Survivors include her son Cohen A.C. Duke of Franklin, IN, her husband Cameron W. Duke of Ft. Campbell, KY, her mother Patricia Ann (Brummett) McNabb and step father B. Todd McNabb of Franklin, IN, her sister Lauryn K. Parker (Zachary) of Martinsville, IN, step sisters Lauren McNabb of Indianapolis, IN and Christie A. McNabb of Seattle, WA, maternal grandmother Linda D. (Taylor) Zarse of Franklin, IN, paternal grandfather Charles Coy Sharp of Bargersville, IN, step grandmother Paula Brummett of Haines City, FL, great grandmother Doris Dougherty of Franklin, IN, aunts Angie Sharp Parmer (Doug Andrews) of Bargersville, IN, Robin Lynn Brummett of Franklin, IN, uncles Shawn Brummett of Franklin, IN, James Brummett of Haines City, FL and Marcus Brummett (fianc? Danielle) of Indianapolis, IN, nephews Altas P.C. Parker and Cerberus Duke, a niece Christabella Duke, brother in law Chris Duke (Elisa) of Greenwood, IN, father in law and mother in law Anthony and Rita Duke of Beech Grove, IN, grandmother in law Fay Hall of Indianapolis, IN and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father Barry Charles Sharp on September 3, 2006, paternal grandmother Elvadene (Cochran) Sharp on March 23, 2016 and maternal grandfather James Brummett on June 22, 2019.
Pastor Dean Bouzeos will conduct a service on Thursday November 18, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at the Community Church of Greenwood 1477 West Main Street Greenwood, IN. Friends may call Wednesday November 17, 2021 from 4PM until 8PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and from 12:30 PM Thursday until service time at the church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
In lieu of flowers, Ciara requested memorial contributions be made for the benefit of her son Cohen for a trust to be established at a future date, checks may be made payable to Patricia Ann McNabb and can be given at the funeral home or mailed to Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) Franklin, IN 46131.
