Studio 207 gets $25,000 programming grant

The Columbus Area Arts Council (CAAC) has announced a $25,000 grant from the Efroymson Family Fund supporting creative programs at Studio 207.

Studio 207 is a multifunctional suite at The Workshop, a collaborative workplace at 4389 North Long Road in Columbus. With an open layout and movable walls and tables, Studio 207 can be reconfigured for a variety of activities, from individual resident artist studio spaces to large open workshops and events.

The Efroymson fund is a lead sponsor of Studio 207 and has supported artist-led workshops and 411 Gallery, a community arts gallery and cultural space in downtown Columbus along the Sixth Street Arts Alley.

Programming at Studio 207 launched in 2020 and has included artist residencies, pop-up exhibitions, public art projects, artist-led workshops and youth arts education. Future programs at Studio 207 will continue to develop the location as a flexible workspace for artists and for creative programs managed by CAAC, the council said in a press release.

“We are continually grateful to the Efroymson Family Fund for their generous support of mission-driven programs that help advance the arts in Columbus,” said CAAC Executive Director, Kathryn Armstrong. “Studio 207 has become an incubator for creative activity and exploration. This incredible grant will allow CAAC to make deeper connections between local and visiting artists and our community.”
