Grizzly Cubs steamroll Hawks

Ashlyn Traylor poured in 31 points and Class 4A No. 3 Franklin had no trouble with Decatur Central on Friday, rolling to a 93-20 road win. Lauren Klem, Emma Sappenfield and Kyndell Jochim each added nine points for the Grizzly Cubs (10-0, 1-0 Mid-State), who hit 20 3-pointers and got all 12 players in the scoring column.

Braves take care of Patriots

Emily Todor and Faith Wiseman scored 17 points apiece, with Todor’s all coming in the second quarter, as Indian Creek coasted past Owen Valley, 60-22. Wiseman also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Braves (5-2, 2-0 WIC), who also got 13 points from Lauren Foster.

Trojans get past Bears

Ella Hobson scored 16 points and hit five of the Trojans’ nine fourth-quarter free throws, leading the way to a 47-41 triumph over Lawrence Central. Rachel Wirts added 10 points for the Trojans (5-5, 2-0 MIC).

Franklin defeated Southport on Thursday night, 42-24. The Grizzly Cubs got victories from Ethan Jeffery (138 pounds), Dylan Forbus (152), Carson Sommers (182), Jed Brown (195), Nolan Skaggs (220), Jacob Johnson (285), Aiden Woods (106) and Kaleb Wyss (126).
