Ray Oller

INDIANAPOLIS

Ray Oller, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 24, 2021. He was born June 23, 1937, in Prentiss, Kentucky to Leonard Willis Oller and Stelva Jones (Garner). Ray served his country in the Army and was stationed in Alaska where he found the landscape he could enjoy his hobbies of fishing, hunting, and camping which he would take back home once his service was complete. Ray married Linda and they enjoyed these outdoor activities with his family along with traveling as well. While at home, Ray enjoyed watching baseball, western movies, eating good cooking, going to church, and his dog Blue. Ray is best stated in a quote; “Humility, that low, sweet root, from which all heavenly virtues shoot.” Ray loved his family and all those who came in contact with him will surely miss his presence.

Ray is survived by his wife Linda Oller, his children; Emery (Sandy) Watson, Traci Jo Vandeveer, and Ray D. (Bernadette) Oller, II, His sister Peggy Barger, six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his Grandson Christopher Watson, and his siblings; Betty Ann Stanford, Rodger Oller, and Wanda Elmore.

A visitation for Ray will be held at Simplicity Funeral &Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN on December 6, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM. A service will be held immediately following at 1 PM. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 1977 S State Rd 135 in Greenwood, IN.
