Whiteland came up on the losing end of a 62-45 score against visiting Bishop Chatard on Wednesday. Emily Reed and Braylyn Clendenen scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, for the Warriors (2-7), with Gwen Higdon chipping in nine.

Center Grove dominated Pike, 74-0, on Wednesday. The Trojans got pins from Reese Courtney (120 pounds), Wyatt Kresja (132), Royce Deckard (220) and Nathan Johnson (285), a tech fall from Drake Buchanan (195) and wins by decision from Silas Stits (138), Noah Clouser (170) and Kaden McConnell (182).

Franklin coasted at Mooresville on Tuesday, 54-12. Picking up wins for the Grizzly Cubs were Carson Sommers (195 pounds), Nolan Skaggs (220), Jacob Johnson (285), Aiden Woods (106), Luke Bechert (120), Caleb Wyss (126), Dayson Lashlee (132), Ethan Jeffery (138), Noah Stevenson (145), Jude Barger (152) and Caleb Ingram (160).

Men’s basketball claims road win

Matt Krause had a season-high 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Franklin College to a 64-55 triumph at Spalding on Wednesday. Mitch O’Mara added 16 points for the Grizzlies (4-2), who held the opposition to 36.5% shooting from the field.
