Barbara Helen Miller, 85 of Franklin, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021.

She was born on September 25, 1936 in Elkhart, Indiana to Wayne and Helen (Noel) Silver. She married Jerry William Miller on March 8, 1958. He lovingly survives. She is also survived by daughters, Julie Ann Maddox and Lori Lynn Black; grandchildren, Deanna Poe (Chris); Steven Maddox (Crystal); Benjamin Miller, Christifer Black (Laura), Ryan Maddox (Allison); Jason Maddox (Amy); Sarah Miller, Nathan Black and Blake Spears; great-grandchildren, Norah, Jackson, Hunter, Lucky, Eli, Amelia, Evelynn, ZuZu, River and two on the way; a special friend, Curt Maddox and her siblings, Lloyd Silver, SandraDean Geortz, Ralph Silver and Janet Elser. She was preceded in passing by her parents and son, Robert Scott Miller.

Barbara was a 1954 graduate of Elkhart High School.

She was a homemaker. She was employed by the Johnson County Welfare Department as a bookkeeper, retiring with over thirty years of dedicated service.

Barbara was a founding member of the Good Shephard Lutheran Church in Franklin. She loved her church and her church family.

Pastor Roger Daene will conduct a celebration of Barbara’s life on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00p.m. at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, 1300 S. Morton Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131. Visitation will be held from 11:00a.m. until the time of service at 1:00p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Good Shephard Lutheran Church at 1300 S. Morton Street in Franklin.
