Men’s basketball rolls at home
Shooting 14 for 21 in the second half, Franklin College pulled away for a 72-57 New Year’s Day victory over Earlham. Matt Krause led the Grizzlies (7-4, 3-1 HCAC) with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Ty Wright added 17 points. Reggie McDonald and Carter Crowe contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively, with McDonald also dishing out seven assists.
Women’s basketball wins by forfeit
Franklin College’s game at Earlham, scheduled for Saturday, was canceled and will not be made up. The Grizzlies (5-6, 3-1 HCAC) were awarded a forfeit victory by league rules.
