FRANKLIN
Patricia Deane Gardner, 72, of Franklin, passed away at her residence on December 15, 2021.
She was born on August 9, 1949 in Muncie, Indiana to Philip Wilbur Mier and Helen Elizabeth (Moore) Mier. She married Glen Earle Gardner. He preceded her in passing. She is survived by son, Philip Gardner (Randi); daughter, Karin Gardner Schuh (Nick); grandchildren, Casey Gardner, Sean Patrick Gardner and Eliza Nichole Gardner and sister, Phyllis Yuhase. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Glen and brother, Robert Mier.
She was a 1967 graduate of Yorktown High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and French from Ball State University. She was a veteran of the United States Army as a E Corporal 4.
Patricia was employed by the United States Department of Transportation as a Computer Specialist for over twenty years.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Patricia wrote beautiful poetry and was an avid reader of Christian lifestyle books. She had a very strong faith.
A Memorial Service in Celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Friday, January 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 East Adams Drive, Franklin, Indiana 46131 with visitation on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
