Wayne Miller

Wayne A. Miller, age 92 of Greenwood went to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

He was born on November 4, 1929 in Glencoe, PA. He married Bessie Foster on March 24, 1951 in Indianapolis. She preceded him in death in 2015. Wayne is survived by sons: James (Barbara) Miller of Middleton, OH, Allen (Deborah) Miller of Greenwood, and David (Tracy) Miller of Burlington and a daughter-Annette (Kevin) Lacy of Bargersville and daughter-in-law Judy Miller of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters: Mary (Homer) Kreinbrook of Berlin, PA; Elaine (Steve) Jacobs of Fayetteville, NY, and Sharon Webber of DeBary, FL. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son-Charles Miller, two brothers James and Dale Ludy and his parents James and Emma Ludy.

Wayne served in the US Army during World War II. He worked as a Senior Industrial Engineer at Allison Transmission; retiring in 1987. He was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. He Volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and the Greenwood Food Pantry (Salvation Army, Greenwood).

He will be missed by so many, but we rejoice that he was reunited with loved ones and that we will one day see him again when we are called home.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow visitation. Wayne will be laid to rest with full military honors next to his beloved wife.
