EDINBURGH
Edward S. “Bootie” Burton, 76 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away January 3, 2022 at his residence. He was born January 27, 1945 in Columbia, Kentucky. He was the son of Leslie and Annie (Streeval) Burton. He married Darlene (Tucker) Burton on July 1, 1967 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Bryan (Jordyn) Burton of Franklin, Indiana, daughter , Tina Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, nine grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, brothers, Jack (Kathy) Burton of Bedford, Indiana and Phillip Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, and sister, Martha (David) Bernard of Jamestown, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Luther Burton, Edgar Burton, Kenny Burton, and Albert Burton, and sisters, Edith Bailey, Izena Burton, and Mary Betty Kimbler.
Bootie was a member of Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. He retired from David R. Webb Company and was previously a coal truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren, hunting and fishing.
A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Stacey Tucker at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church. Calling will be on Thursday, January 6 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and from11:00 AM until time of service on Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
