Cindy K. (Harriman) Prokish, 65, of New Whiteland, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Cindy was born on October 28, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late James Russell and Marjorie Eileen (Nicholas) Harriman.

Cindy married the love of her life, Paul Prokish, on August 22, 1981 in Salem, Illinois; they were married for 40 wonderful years.

Cindy worked as a claim processor for Anthem Insurance for 27 years until her retirement in 2011. She was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Eagles Auxiliary, and the Eagle Riders. She had a true compassion for others and devoted her time to animal activism and charity events for the Eagle Riders. Cindy was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and the best grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Along with creating memories with her loved ones, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, cheering on her favorite sports teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Tennessee Titans, and riding her Harley Davidson alongside her husband.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Paul Prokish of New Whiteland, IN; her three children, Jamie (John) Hallenberger of St. Louis, MO, Ashley (Shaun) Spears of Whiteland, IN, and step-daughter Keeley (John) Jenkins of Houston, TX; her six grandchildren, Sam Rector, Tyler Lee, Connor Humphreys, Kaelyn Hallenberger, Wesley Spears, and Marissa Spears; her great-grandchild, Joseph Lee; her seven siblings, Sheila Heston, Linda Ward, Peggy (Steven Busiek) Harriman, Rusty Harriman, Terry (Ellen) Harriman, Nick Harriman, and Tammy (Steve) Hiatt; several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at Jessen &Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour. A celebration of life will be held following the service at the Event Center directly behind Whit’s Inn.
