Kenneth A. Hudson

ALBION, Mich.

Kenneth A Hudson, age 73, lost a very courageous battle to COVID 19 on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson, Michigan, with his daughter by his side.

He was born on August 23, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN to John P Hudson and Ella Mae (Huckleberry-Hudson) Foley. He attended Center Grove Schools and Graduated from Greenwood High School. He attended Vincennes University, and after proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He worked as a HVAC Supervisor for AT&T, retiring in 2012. He spent the remaining years of his life contributing to the wellness of others.

His many passions included; Corvettes, any and all sports, traveling to expand his Hard Rock Cafe collection and his beloved cat, Sissey. There was no distance too far for him to travel for his children’s school sports or band performances. He was and will always be affectionately known to his granddaughters as “Papaw Boat”.

Kenneth will be greatly missed by his daughter, Jenifer (Hudson-Asher) Holmes of Franklin, IN, Granddaughters Alexandra Asher, Kaitlynn (Cameron) Brunner, Brooklyn Hudson and Lillian Hudson, Great-Grandson Maximus and Great-Granddaughter Adalynn Mae. He will also be remembered by his brother, Robert (Vickie) Hudson of Greenwood, IN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John L Hudson. The day he stopped grieving over the unexpected death of his son, Bradley A Hudson, was the day he stopped breathing.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 3:00pm at Swartz Family Community Mortuary, 300 South Morton St (US 31), Franklin, Indiana. All those with fond memories of Kenneth are encouraged to share. Friends may call from 2pm until time of service. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetary.
