Trojans rout Red Devils

Center Grove’s girls picked up an easy 141-35 victory over Pike on Tuesday, while the boys won by a 129-37 margin. Lara Phipps was first in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 backstroke for the Trojan girls, who also got wins from Kylie Treat (200 free), Clara Brandon (200 IM), Mia Prusiecki (diving), Kayla Fischer (100 free), Kiersten Smith (500 free) and Mallory McDonald (100 breaststroke). For the boys, Ben Clarkston took the IM and the 100 butterfly, while Evan Hewitt (50 free), Aleks Parsetich (100 free), Connor Conkin (500 free), Evan Hernandez (100 back) and Isaac Lewis (100 breast) were also winners.

Woodmen split with Cardinals

Greenwood’s boys defeated Southport, 107-66, while the girls suffered a 99-74 defeat. The boys were led by victories from Joe Sheets (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly), Conner Peckinpaugh (100 free, 100 breaststroke), Andrew Mears (200 freestyle) and Ethan Rose (100 backstroke). Getting individual wins for the Woodmen girls were Reagan Graves (200 free, 100 fly), Madison Ramsey (diving) and Hailey Peckinpaugh (500 free).

Royals topple Guerin

Claire Lindsey finished with 17 points and six rebounds, leading Roncalli to a 42-29 triumph over Guerin Catholic. Sydney Horton had five points, five assists and four steals for the Royals (9-9).

Roncalli eliminated from tourney

North Central defeated Roncalli, 66-43, in the opening round of the Marion County tournament on Tuesday. Luke Kegerreis had 13 points for the Royals (4-6), with Gabe Horn adding 12.
